1st & 2nd Grade Softball
Tournament

Please register your team below. Here are the rules/guidelines:

June 3rd-June 7th (June 8th as rainout date)

Teams must be register before May 20, 2026, Entry fee is $100 per team
9 player minimum, 15 max

“Combined” teams must be from the same school and players must have participated in GWAC season with a school team.

Tournament will begin with pool play: Top 2 Teams from each pool will advance to a single-elimination bracket.
Lowest runs allowed for tie-breaker.

Game results must be reported by winning team to Tony Maccani via text or email.

Results will be shared via email.

 RULES:

1.     Same rules as GWAC unless listed below.
2.     Home team is listed first.
3.     Games are 60 mins, No new inning shall start after 60 mins.
4.     An umpire will be present for games. Helping to enforce rules. Coaches are to conduct themselves and guide their parents and teams in a SPORTSMAN-LIKE manner (the zero-tolerance policy applies here).
5.     Score shall be agreed upon between innings and after the game. Winning team should report the score via email or text.
6.     No balls or strikes, only “pitches.” A batter will receive a maximum of 7 pitches, unless the 7th pitch is fouled (unlimited fouls allowed). If the last pitch is not fouled or hit into play (whether ball or strike), the batter is declared OUT. No tee shall be used.
7.     10 batter MAX or 3 outs an inning; On the 10th batter, play is stopped when the ball is touched by the defense. See rule #9.
8. Batting “Out of Order” is an automatic out.
9.     Baserunners may advance until the ball is touched by the defender. At that point the runner may advance to the bag to which they are running at their own risk of being tagged out. (I.E. a hit to the outfield and the batter/runner is rounding past first base when the ball is fielded/touched, she may advance to second and the defense may tag her out). Same if a baserunner is at second base and the ball is hit to the outfield. That runner may advance home if the ball is not touched prior to her reaching third base. This rule is explained in GAME POLICIES in the GWAC Rule Book, #11.
10. Defensive players may not sit out two consecutive innings (self-enforced by coaches/umpires, if there is a violation, an automatic out will be assessed to the team for their offensive inning).
11. Defensive players must play at proper positions in the field, the OF’s should be behind the base paths.
