Tony Maccani, a former New York Mets prospect, has over 15 years of coaching and baseball instruction , including at the High School and Collegiate level.

A graduate of Furman University, where he earned First-Team All-Conference honors and helped lead the Paladins to a Southern Conference Championship, Tony went on to play for the Mets, reaching their AAA team. After an injury in 2010, he returned to Cincinnati and began coaching at Moeller High School, where he guided the team to three state championships, including back-to-back titles. During his tenure at Moeller, Tony developed multiple players who went on to play Division I baseball and achieve professional careers, including MLB draftees Philip Diehl, Riley Mahan, Zach Logue, Ryan Galanie , Nick Bennett and Tyler McDonough.

Following Moeller, Tony joined the staff at the University of Cincinnati from 2018-2020. In 2019, Tony helped coach the Bearcats to an American Athletic Conference Championship and the NCAA Regionals. During his time at UC, several Bearcats went on to continue their playing careers professionally, including AJ Bumpass, Manny Rodriguez and Joey Wiemer.
